Self-care
Self-care is crucial for coping with stress reducing anxiety and improving mood, thinking ability, ability to focus, and memory.
- Sleep is important for attentional focus and memory.
- Healthy eating (reduce sugar and caffeine, increase protein and fresh vegetables) maintains energy and physical health particularly when the body is under stress.
- Exercise improves overall health, attentional focus, sleep, and mood.
- Worship, meditation, healing and rejuvenation practices.
- Fun improves mood, motivation, sleep.
- Social relationships can help with confidence, anxiety reduction. Studying with others can be helpful to critical thinking, learning, and remembering what you are studying.
- Unscheduled time (time to relax, breathe, chill, be spontaneous, check in with yourself)
