CHEM-3-94926 - Introductory Inorganic Chemistry

Introduction to Inorganic Chemistry

“Joy may be inarticulate, but reflection is empty without understanding. There is delight to be had merely by looking at the world, but that delight can be deepened when the mind’s eye can penetrate the surface of things to see the connections within.”

—Peter Atkins

This website will serve as an important source of course information. You are required to check the site regularly, I recommend a minimum of once per week. Some announcements may be posted only on this website. If you miss a class section, you are responsible to check this website for an announcement of quiz dates, homework assignments or any schedule or due date changes.

  • Course Syllabus: see this link for an outline of the course and grading policies.

Before each lecture, you should read the required materials and view the video tutorials to better understand the concepts presented in class. These resources are also helpful study guides, which in combination with lecture slides, practice worksheets & problem sets, will help prepare you for the midterm exams. Before each lecture, the LECTURE SLIDES for that day will be posted in the schedule below as a .pdf file. You are welcome to download the slides, annotate them, and use them as a study tool. You can use the CANVAS Calendar to set up email notifications for important due dates and upcoming exams. See this link to change your CANVAS notifications.
