Cabrillo offers courses for transfer level credit or Career Skills Certificates. These courses offer a range of content from preparing for college and career exploration to career readiness.
Counseling & Guidance Courses
Students can also enroll in academic courses taught by counselors to get information about college success and career exploration, providing career services in a classroom format. Courses below are UC/CSU transferable.
- CG 51 = Planning for Success (1 unit)
- Introduces the tools necessary to increase academic and life success including college expectations, resources, facilities, requirements, and educational planning.
- CG 54 = Careers & Lifestyles (1 unit)
- Facilitates the selection of a career goal and educational pathway through self analysis, human development, and occupational exploration; utilizes assessment of human traits and life span development. Includes the use of both the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Career Assessments.
- CG 1 = College Success (1.5- 3 units)
- Integrates personal growth, learning techniques, problem solving, critical and creative thinking to enhance academic and career success.
