Consequences of Academic & Progress Probation

So what does being on Academic Probation, Progress Probation, Academic Dismissal or Progress Dismissal mean and how does it impact you?

Regardless of your cumulative Academic Standing, as long as your most recently graded semester meets the academic standard of a 2.0 GPA or better, and as long as you’ve completed more than 50% of the units you’ve attempted, you’ll be allowed to continue with your classes, and continue to improve your overall standing.

If, on the other hand, your most recently graded semester does not meet the academic standard of a 2.0 GPA or better, nor have you completed more than 50% of the units you’ve attempted, a hold could be placed on your record, impacting your ability to register or to make changes to your schedule. At that point, you would be required to meet with a counselor to develop a plan for success, and to remove the hold.
