Now You Try

Note: If you are off campus, you will be prompted to log in for full access.

Filtering Your Results

Use the "Refine Results" sidebar to limit the results list to a manageable number. Continue refining the search to attain a focused set of sources. Assigning limits can narrow a search from thousands of results down to a few. For example, you might experiment with the following limiters:

  • Full text
  • Publication date
  • Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals
  • Source Type
  • Subject
  • Add keywords to your search! Example: For a topic about "online privacy," you could add the terms "social media" or "laws"

The "Limit To" box has filters for full text, Scholarly journals, and Publication date

The "Source Types" box allows you to limit to particular sources, like newspapers, journals, magazines, or books

The "Subject" box suggests related subjects for you to find more relevant content
