Filtering Your Results

Since SuperSearch retrieves so many articles from various types of sources, you will want to filter your results.

Use the "Refine Results" sidebar to limit the results list to a manageable number. Continue refining the search to attain a focused set of sources. Assigning limits can narrow a search from thousands of results down to a few. For example, you might experiment with the following limiters:

  • Full text
  • Publication date
  • Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals
  • Source Type
  • Subject
  • Add keywords to your search! Example: For a topic about how access to housing impacts health, you could add the terms "housing," or "public health" or "children's health."

The "Limit To" box has filters for full text, Scholarly journals, and Publication date

The "Source Types" box allows you to limit to particular sources, like newspapers, journals, magazines, or books

The "Subject" box allows you to filter results by suggested subjects (related to your search terms)
