Welcome

The Cabrillo College Writing Center offers tutoring and a variety of resources to help students improve their writing process:

• In-person tutoring through drop-ins
• Online scheduled appointments
• Workshops

We support any written work in all content areas and at any stage, ranging from the development of ideas to the final draft.

What Does it Mean to be Tutored in Writing?

Many students operate on the belief that tutoring is only a support to those struggling with classes.  We believe in the writing process and the importance of peer feedback no matter what level of writing you are. We can help you brainstorm, develop ideas, formulate a thesis, organize drafts, cite sources, format, and articulate your ideas.  We do not operate as editors but as guides to help you gain confidence in your writing ability and learn what processes work for you to make your writing the best it can be.
