Integrated Learning Center (ILC) at the Watsonville Center

The Integrated Learning Center (ILC) serves all Cabrillo students, especially those living in South Santa Cruz and North Monterey Counties, to provide supportive study spaces, access to technology, and bilingual (Spanish/English) instructional support services like tutoring, academic success workshops, and special events that enhance the lives of our students. Located in Rooms A210 (ILC Main) and A260 (STEM Expansion) of Building A at the Watsonville Center, the ILC is open Monday - Saturday. The ILC also offers limited Zoom tutoring appointments for Writing and Math, in addition to a Gmail writing dropbox for remote tutoring support for students working on writing assignments.

In the ILC, students benefit from:

  • Drop-in tutoring for Writing, ESL, Math, Spanish, Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, and other subjects by arrangement
  • Zoom appointments for online tutoring in Math and Writing
  • Gmail tutoring for students working on Writing assignments
  • Coordination of embedded tutoring for classes at the Watsonville Center 
  • Academic Success Workshops and English Conversation Groups
  • Library services (getting a library card, working with a Librarian) and textbook / calculator check-outs (including scientific and graphing semester checkouts)
  • Zoom stations to connect with your online classes and lectures
  • Computer lab and free black-and-white printing
  • Quiet study lounge
  • Reservable group study rooms 
  • Study aids (bone boxes, chemistry sets, skeletons, noise-canceling headphones, phone chargers)
  • Food and Supplies Resource Spot, including free coffee/tea bar 
  • Special events like Therapy Dog Study Breaks, Chem 30A Plus, Math Day, and Guest Speakers

More information about the ILC's Gmail Writing Tutoring Service:

  • Writing support through EMAIL. Email ilcwritingtutor@gmail.com and share your document, along with your student ID and the writing prompt / assignment you are working on, and a tutor will respond within 24 hours, Monday - Saturday. Please check your email often during the submission process as your tutor may have additional questions for you.
