Source 3.A: Jose and Tecla Reyes in the Strawberry Fields
A photograph of Jose and Tecla Reyes in a strawberry field at Porter Ranch in Watsonville. The carts seen in the photograph were handmade by the Reyes'. Jose and Tecla's sons recalled that the wooden carts were heavy and difficult to maneuver down the rows since they had wooden wheels. The Reyes brothers also recalled their mother was faster with the cart than their father.
