Science Articles

Science magazine with a cover of glaciers and the title "Melting Away"

Scientific researchers communicate with each other through articles.   Reading scientific articles is a way to participate in discussions about current biology research.  Science articles include:

  • Information about the Author(s)
  • An Abstract or one-paragraph summary of the article
  • An overview of the study Methods. Sharing the study methods gives the readers a chance to scrutinize the study and reproduce the study themselves.
  • A Discussion by the author(s) of the Results of their study.
  • A list of all the sources Referenced in the article.

Science articles are full of information. They can be dense and hard to read.  Shorter articles and websites are a great place to start, but if you want to see how research is done and access current discussions among scientific researchers, you will need to access science articles.
