What is OneSearch?

OneSearch is a tool that allows you to search many of the Library’s databases, books, and selected free web sources, at the same time

Be prepared to use the Refine our Results sidebar to focus the large results list.

To access OneSearch, Click Search from the Library home page. Links to an external site.

Note: If you are off campus, you will eventually be asked to login with your Canvas/Cabrillo login.

Filtering Your Results

Since OneSearch retrieves so many types of sources, you will want to filter your results using the Refine Your Results sidebar.

For example, you might experiment filtering by:

  • Date
  • Availability
  • Format (Books, Articles, Images, etc.)
  • Subject

Now You Try

  1. Use your keywords to search for information on the object or building you are researching in OneSearch Links to an external site..
  2. Use the filters to Refine your Results.
  3. Send yourself at least one article, including the Chicago style citation
